My Apology...

I must apologize to any of you who have stopped by my blog as it is sadly neglected. My husband's health has been an issue for a very long time but he is improving greatly and doing very well.

I do confess that I probably have no business creating a blog as I don't have a clue as to what I am doing. I so want to share some of my work with you and create a beautiful blog I can be proud of. Alas, I am very " blog challenged" and have a lot to learn.

I do thank you for stopping by and hope someday to become better educated at blog creating and have something more interesting for you to visit.

Captured Fairy

Captured Fairy

Captured Fairy inside

Captured Fairy inside
Note the glass chandelier above her, and the rose cameo on the wall next to her.

I found a wooden spool, added silk ribbon and a stick pin containing a tiny wooden spool and crystal beads.

This photo shows the glass chandelier.

This photo shows the detail of the flowers on the top of her beautiful new home.

The fairy is one I purchased at a Christmas store many years ago and saved for something special; the candelier above her is glass and is attached to roses on the ceiling, the glass candlestick by her left hand is from a glass chandelier I salvaged and she's holding a tiny butterfly in her left hand. Isnt she precious?

Here is a picture with the little door open. However, she loves her little house and says she will never leave!

Love your blog! You are really doing your best to enable me with the flower soft!!! Beautiful card!

Sugar Sweet Paper Treats January Challenge

Sugar Sweet Paper Treats January Challenge
The challenge was to alter something. I took a box similar to the one in the photo, covered it in black and gold papers, added Tim Holtz feet, and embellished the top.

Ice Cream Carton and Ice Cream Cone cards

Ice Cream Carton and Ice Cream Cone cards
Told you I loved making boxes and here's one more! This was for the last Sugar Sweet Paper Treats challenge which involved Neopolitan ice cream colors and our choice of any project; a card, layout, box, etc. I designed the box in Cricut Design Studio along with the cards.

I just LOVE creating boxes and containers and just had to do a box and a sign-card for this challenge.

Car-Pull tunnel card

Car-Pull tunnel card
One of my co-workers had carpal tunnel surgery and I couldn't resist this card. I put the car on ribbon to pull it back and forth through the tunnel.

Made this for my great-niece's 1st birthday. Her room is done in Noah's Ark!

Pink bird house

Pink bird house
One of my all-time favorite projects from JenC's cut file. I loved this so much, I carried it around for days so I could look at it! OK..call me vain...but couldn't help myself!

Dad's Father's Day "card"

Dad's Father's Day "card"
I did this for my Dad's wall in the nursing home. I mounted the car on 2 12x12 sheets of carstock. The driver of Mickey's car is Coco, my little lhasa apso. Dad loved her to pieces...and the nurses came in for days to show this project off. He loved the attention, bless his heart!

Mary's Treat Bottle

Mary's Treat Bottle
This is a little busy, but it's one of my first projects. I made one for 3 co-workers. Mary's name is on there somewhere. I filled it with pink M&M's.

Bottle bag

Bottle bag
I needed a gift for an open house last year and came up with this. A bottle of wine and chocolates...what better way to celebrate a new home huh?

Nikki's Birthday Card

Nikki's Birthday Card
I'm sure I scraplifted this from a talented Cricut Message Board member and I apologize for not remembering who it was. Lattice designs have always been a favorite of mine so this card was a natural for me to make for a very dear friend for her birthday. Butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch, flowers are Primas, fluorishes are from Home Decor and the ovals are Nestabilities.

Flower Soft Sympathy Card

Flower Soft Sympathy Card
Once I discovered Flower Soft, I was hooked!! This was the first card I made with this product and love using it on so many cards now.
